4 Films that Inspired Product of Society [the film]

Here are 4 documentaries that were huge inspirations to me as a filmmaker and helped shape the direction I chose to take with Product of Society [the film]

American Movie:
This is one of my all time favorite films. I could seriously watch this every day. There is something amazing about being in Mark's world and experiencing life through his eyes. This is something that I hope I can come close to capturing in my film.

Crumb:  Another great film that explores the mind of a "tortured" artist.

Nobody's Business:  Alan Berliner is one of my favorite filmmakers and this is by far my favorite film of his.  I love the interaction between him and his father.  This delves into the deep aspects of their relationship as father and son, a topic that will be investigated in Product of Society [the film].

Tarnation:  What can I say about this film that every other critic hasn't already.  It is such a deep look into his life in a way that modern video really lets us do.  I was inspired by this film to provide Jon with his own camera to record personal thoughts and insights into his life.
